Dates: Friday, September 13 (check in after 2pm) to Sunday, Sept 15 (Checkout by 12pm)

Location: Big Bear Pineknot Campground/Snow Summit

Cost: $25 per person (Camping fee only: mountain biking and lift ticket rental not included)

Camping style: Car camping

Camping registration deadline: Thursday, September 5^th.

Activities: Car camping, campfire, cooking, hiking, mountain biking (see below). Additional activities can be purchased at Snow Summit basecamp including : a 30-foot Climbing Wall, Euro Bungee Trampoline, Kids Full Throttle Course, and Zip Line.

Description

Please join us for our Big Bear camping trip Friday September 13 thru 15^th.  The beautiful Pineknot Campground is located at the base of Snow Summit located at Summit Blvd, Big Bear, CA 92314, and we are in Campsite 12, 13, 14. Each campsite allows for 2 vehicles- an additional $8 fee is charged for each 2^nd vehicle and will be collected at the campsite.  There are firepits, food storage lockers, and flush toilets. 

For those interested in mountain biking, you will need to complete a waiver and reserve rental equipment and lift ticket separately on your own. Reserve for Snow Summit for Saturday, September 14^th.  Prices differ by age group and type of bike and safety equipment.  If you plan to downhill MTB  the Freeride is recommended as the rental includes helmet and protective gear.  If you don’t plan to downhill mountain bike and would rather simply ride on cross country trails- you can rent a cross-country bike (helmet included).  

REQUIRED: If renting a mountain bike,  parents/guardians must complete an online waiver for their minor(s) and themselves (if applicable) in advance.

If you plan to send your scout alone- please arrange transportation prior to registering and reserving equipment/lift tickets for your scout for the trip. Arranging transportation is the responsibility of the scout/scout’s parent.
