When: May 5th and May 6th from 8:30am – 4:30pm (both days)
(Food and beverages will be provided)

Where: The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens
1151 Oxford Rd, San Marino, CA 91108

The worksite is located behind the Children’s Garden near the entrance to The Ranch Garden. Please wear work clothes, closed-toe shoes, and hats. Work gloves, masks, and tools will be provided.

What: Building 4 raised garden beds, rehabbing 4 garden beds and installing irrigation systems

Why: The garden beds will become a community resource for weekly programs, educational activities, and professional research. These garden beds will support establishing ideas for a sustainable and equitable food system.

Eagle Scout projects are a great way to learn practical skills. You can also earn service hours toward rank advancements or community service hours for school.

It would be great if you could email me the date and times that you will attend to volunteer – it will help me with my planning. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. All are welcome!
