Scholarship Merit Badge

Troop 355,

I am excited to offer Scholarship Merit Badge on June 11, from 7-8pm, via Zoom. This is open to all in Troop 355 and is a great opportunity for long-term self-improvement…yes, that’s right, just imagine a better learning experience next school year, or in college, or even for your career!

It’s simple to earn this merit badge – just participate in the single class, complete in-class identified sections of the workbook, and meet with me (call or video call) for a brief review of your workbook (parent on call to meet two deep leadership requirement).

Why take this merit badge?:
• You’ve done most of the requirements already…you just don’t know it, yet
• Guaranteed improved learning capability and education outcomes for those that complete the badge
• This merit badge is rarely earned….but 23% more U.S. Scouts earned it in 2019 than 2018!!! Growing in popularity and offering…
• A great topic to cover on your path to Eagle….or path beyond to earning Palms. What’s a palm? Check out your Handbook beyond Eagle…

PREPARE: Please print the workbook HERE and have a pen to take notes during the class.

This merit badge will consist of the following enriching experiences:
• Reflect on your 2019-20 school and scouting year
• Learn more about your scholar-self, while sharing your experiences
• Explore how 2020-21 school can be better for you than last year, and what it takes to get there
