Chandler Erskine’s Eagle Project

I will be carrying out my Eagle Scout project next weekend on Saturday June 11th and Sunday June 12th at Descanso Gardens. We will be sanding and staining about twenty benches. Please wear clothing that you do not mind getting dirty and might ruin.

Work Hours: The work hours for Saturday the 11th will be 9am-4pm, with an hour break from 12-1pm for lunch. On Sunday, we will be working from 9am-1pm; this is an extra day to finish up any remaining benches. Water and lunch will be provided on both workdays.

Directions: To get to the maintenance yard where I will be carrying out my project, you will need to make a right turn into the secondary parking lot right after you enter Descanso Gardens through the main gate. After that, drive down to the far end of the parking lot to a chain-link gate. To the right of this gate is a dirt pathway going up a small hill. Walk up this path onto the small road. Make a left turn and walk through the gate. After you come through the gate, the Maintenance buildings and yard where my project will be taking place will be just up the road. Signs will be present to more accurately direct you.
