Gliders Campout (2023)

Description

Come fly away, literally.  Join us for another exciting year at the Southern California Soaring Academy.  Scouts and dads are able to take to the skies in a real glider and experience exciting soaring techniques like riding thermals.  Rest assured, no glider has gotten stuck up in the air to date, so we feel this is a pretty safe activity.

Mandatory Safety meeting Saturday morning.  If you plan on flying YOU MUST be at this meeting.  Please plan on arriving before 8am.

Those wanting to participate in the Aviation Merit Badge, please be on the lookout for an email with information on meeting prior to the glider campout.  You will have a short lecture followed by a visit to an airport control tower.
